Sustainability
For many of our destinations, tourism is a vital lifeline for communities, conservation areas, and wildlife alike. At Seedpod, we hand-pick small camps and lodges that prioritize sustainability and make a meaningful impact on the environment and surrounding communities. This enables our clients not only enjoy authentic and intimate experiences, but also contribute to the well-being of local communities through employment opportunities and cultural preservation. Each camp we partner with reflects our dedication to responsible travel, ensuring every stay leaves a positive mark on both people and the planet.
Conservation
Africa is home to thousands of incredible conservation initiatives, making it a challenge to decide which to support. We’ve handpicked those that are particularly close to our hearts, we are also 100% sure they have ethical.
GIVING BACK
At Seedpod, having spent so many years of our lives living in some of Africa’s truly magnificent areas: from Zimbabwe and Zambia to Tanzania and Kenya . Living alongside the rural communities in these special places, we feel very strongly about the conservation of our planet. What we know, is that for as long as the landowners and neighbouring communities see a value in wildlife, it remains safe for future generations. Therefore supporting the people is just as important as the wildlife.

Ol Pejeta
Close to our hearts, and the home of the last 2 Northern White Rhino on earth. Ol Pejeta is also a pioneer in the recovery of Kenya’s Black Rhino population. Their breeding program has been so successful they are now able to relocate Black Rhino to re- establish populations across Kenya. Their community outreach is also world class.

The Mara Triangle
25 years ago this quiet back water of the Maasai Mara was transformed by a public-private partnership forming The Mara Conservancy. Today it is a beacon of stewardship and excellence in Conservation. Their anti poaching and community work is phenomenal, and makes a massive difference to the eco- system and the people who live in it.

SaTuBo
Tired of being left to fend for themselves, women from three warring communities joined forces and set up their own beadwork project. Now they own their own land, have built a creche to care for their children while they bead and their products are in homes across the globe. A shining example of strong willed, focused women, who work as a team.

The photos featured on Seedpod: In the making of the Seedpod Safaris website, authenticity is very important to us. 95% of these photos are from our private family collection, of a life lived (sometimes too close to the edge!)in the remote wilderness of Africa. Some are not perfect, but they are taken by us, glimpses of time gone by and moments we treasured.
